In accordance with “the Regulations on Master’s Degrees of the People’s Republic of China” (JIAOXUE No.9 2015), "the Guidance of the Ministry of Education on Strengthening the Reexamination of Postgraduate Enrollment" (JIAOXUE No.4 2006), and "2018 the Reexamination and Admission Scheme for Master’s Degree of Henan University ", this scheme is formulated, combined with the practice of postgraduate enrollment in our college,.

I. Management of the reexamination

The reexamination is led by the Reexamination Leadership Committee, which is fully responsible for the enrollment, reexamination and admission for College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. We also set up the Reexamination Qualification Review Committee and the Discipline Professional Reexamination Committee, which include members who are responsible, well-conditioned and excellent on academic level. Meanwhile we trained the tutors who would participate in the reexamination in order that they could understand the policies, and be familiar with rules and methods.

The Reexamination Qualification Review Committee is composed of the Deputy Secretary for student work, the Commissioner of the Discipline Committee and the Director of the Postgraduate Office (or the graduate counselor),among which the Deputy Secretary the first responsible person for the work. The Reexamination Qualification Review Committee will give specific comments on the results of each candidate's reexamination, and everyone will be responsible for his or her signing.

We set up 4 Discipline Professional Reexamination Committees composed of similar disciplines, each of which consists of 9 teachers with postgraduate tutors, 1 ballot, 1 scorer and 1 supervisor. All of them are responsible for determining the specific content, grading standards and procedures of candidates' interview and assessment.

II. Reexamination ratio,  scores and list

The simulated recruiting number and the reexamination list will be published on the website of the Graduate School of Henan University. The overall list for the candidates who will take the reexamination will be published on the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Henan University Web.

4. No candidate is to be accepted in exceptive way.

III. Psychological testing

Every candidate should participate in the psychological testing on the website of the Graduate School of Henan University before the reexamination.

IV. Time and place for the reexamination

Time for register: March 26, 2018

Time for reexamination: March 27-28, 2018

Place: Academic lecture hall of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (east side of College gate)

1. Reexamination notification  

(1) Network notification: The candidate list and web version of reexamination offer will be published on the website of the Graduate School of Henan University, so the paper version of reexamination offer will not be sent.

(2) Telephone notification: Candidates who will participate in the reexamination will also receive telephone notification from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

(3) Candidates who do not receive the telephone notification could come to register on time as long as you see your name on the website.

2. Candidates who will participate in the reexamination should sign the Integrity Undertaking before the retest.

3. The Reexamination Qualification Review

The Reexamination Qualification Review Committee is responsible for the qualification review. The considerations are as follows:

(1) During the qualification, candidates should take photos on site and sign the Integrity Undertaking. The ID cards of all the candidates will be checked by the ID card recognition instrument.

(2) We will call the candidates whose information is something wrong. Then applicants must submit official document issued by authoritative authority to prove your academic qualifications. After the register, the specific qualification will be undertaken by postgraduate office in Henan University. Anyone who cannot submit the required documents should not be allowed to attend the reexamination.

(3) Candidates, please bring diploma (original), degree (original), and student ID card (original) etc. and come to our college to take the Reexamination Qualification Review. Anyone who cannot meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education (such as self-examination specialist, network education specialist, etc.) should not be allowed to attend the reexamination.

(4) All military school candidates whose school belongs to the Ministry of Education must submit relevant certificates. Adult education undergraduates are required to print special web pages to prove that they are grade four students in adult education.

(5) A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (before Sept 1, 2018) or comparable institution must be submitted as well as the relevant certificates issued by the self-study higher education examination office or the network education university.

(6) If the examinee gets a new higher education after the enrolment of postgraduate enrollment in October 2017, we will still cognizance the original registration.

(7)  The standard that professional qualification deemed to be equivalent is as follows: current adult undergraduate, self-study examination and network Education University undergraduate, Higher Vocational College student who has graduated for more than 2 years. Those who have no bachelor's degree in previous undergraduate, self-study students, and full-time undergraduate students are regarded as the same educational level.

V. Contents of the reexamination

According to the documents of the Ministry of Education, this year's postgraduate examination must be recorded throughout the whole course.

1. Foreign language listening

The foreign language listening test was organized by the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Henan University, and the score will be counted as the total score of the reexamination, which accounted for 10% of the retest results.

2. Professional reexamination

(1) The professional reexamination for academic degree postgraduates can be divided into: professional written examination, equivalent education plus examination and professional interview.

It will take 3 hours for the professional written reexamination; the result is percentile and is counted in the total score.

The added tests for equivalent qualification students contents two subjects, each of the test costs 3 hours the result is percentile. These added tests belong to qualification examination, and the results are not counted in the total score.

The reexamination committee is responsible for the professional interview and would score strictly according to the interview items.  The result is percentile.

(2) The professional reexamination for master degree postgraduates can be divided into: professional written examination, equivalent education plus examination.

3. Assessment for the reexamination

The members of the reexamination committee will assess the candidates independently at the interview session, and before the interview a meeting was held to discuss the standard about how to evaluate the candidates. The candidates are randomly drawn to determine the order of the interview. The highest and lowest scores will be discarded and the rest will be averaged to result in the score in the session/group, which will be balanced with consideration of the discrepancy between different sessions at the end of the concurrent interviews to generate the final score for the candidate’s interview.

4. Scores

The total results of the examinees include the first test results and the reexamination results, of which the proportion of the first test results is 50%, the results of the reexamination account for 50%. As long as one of the subjects in the reexamination is unqualified, he or she will not be accepted.

VI. Adjustment

The specific requirements for candidates who applied other universities are as follows:

1. When the number of candidates who meet the reexamination criteria is greater than or equal to the number of enrollment plans, we will no longer recruit candidates for adjustment.

When the number of candidates participating in the reexamination for some subjects and majors can't meet the enrollment plan, then the adjustment will be undertaken between these subjects and majors

If it is necessary to adjust, with the approval of the Postgraduate Enrollment Leadership Committee, the candidates can be appropriately adjusted to our university.

2. When the number of candidates in conformity with the reexamination standard is less than the number of enrollment plans, the adjustment will be undertaken inside the college first, followed by the adjustment between the close disciplines and majors in our university, and then the adjustment outside our university will be undertaken to meet the needs.

3. Conditions for Postgraduate Adjustment:

(1)  Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

(2) It is suggested to choose the students who applied the key universities.

(3)  The transferred major should be the same as or similar to the first choice.

(4)  The subjects of the preliminary test for transferred major should be the same as or similar to the first choice’s. The subject of the unified examination should be the same in principle.

4. The academic degree can be adjusted to a master degree, but a master degree cannot be adjusted to an academic degree.

VII. Admission

1. The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering will propose the enrollment proposal for qualified candidates according to the enrollment plan and submit it to the Postgraduate Enrollment Leadership Committee.

2. The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering will receive the ideological and political review form and the filing letter from the Postgraduate Office to collect the personnel files and the actual performance of the candidates for the overall review of the candidates’ ideological and political performance. If it is necessary, someone will be sent to conduct an investigation. The relevant materials shall be stamped by the organization (or personnel) department or office. Those who have not qualified the ideological and moral examination will not be accepted.

3. In accordance with the record of the National Education Examination Examinee's Integrity File, we carefully check the punishment conditions such as whether the examinees have cheated in the examination, and take the examinee's integrity as the important content of the ideological and moral assessment and the important basis for the admission.

4. If someone violated the provisions of the national education examination, which is very serious with punishment. The continued enrollment for the postgraduate entrance examination will be taken into consideration.

5. The candidates are required to have a physical examination during the reexamination. If the physical examination results do not conform to the physical examination standards put forward by various disciplines in our school, they will not be accepted.

VIII. Information disclosure, supervision and reconsideration

1. Information disclosure. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, Provincial Admissions Office and Henan University, the important enrollment information such as the reexamination admission scheme, the number of enrollment, the list of examinees and the list of candidates to be accepted should be publicized in a timely, adequate and standardized way.

2. Supervision. The reexamination work of our college is supervised by the Reexamination Leadership Committee and the discipline inspection and supervision departments and the society.

IX. Violation Handling

1. We will dispose strictly the candidates who have violated the rules of examination management and discipline, and have influenced the fair and just in the postgraduate exam, in accordance with the "National Education Examination Rules" (Ministry of Education Order No.33). If they are the internal students in our university, they would be punished in accordance with the relevant provisions of the punishment, until the expulsion of school records; If they are the students in other university, we will notice their university and report to the higher education administrative department to require the relevant punishment, until the expulsion of school records; If they are on the job, we will notice their units and report to the higher administration to require the relevant punishment.

2. For the enrollment units who have violated the relevant laws and regulations of the State and the regulations of the admissions management in the reexamination of the postgraduate students, our university will deal with the conditions seriously in accordance with the relevant regulations. At the same time, the enrollment plan is reduced and the enrolment of the enrolment is abolished. While carrying out accountability for the responsible persons, the enrollment plan should be reduced until it is abolished

3. For the staffs who have violated the relevant laws and regulations of the State and the regulations of the admissions management in the reexamination of the postgraduate students, our university will deal with them seriously in accordance with the relevant regulations. These staffs shall not participate in any work related to graduate students.

X. Fees and scholarships
