On the afternoon of March 13th, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held the 2018 annual meeting about party work and the branch secretary's report in the college’s conference room on the second with the attendance of the member of college party committee and party branch secretaries. Fang Meng, secretary of the college party committee, preside over this meeting.
The party branch secretaries gave an earnest summary of the branch’s work in 2017, and then about ten party branch secretaries of the Department of Chemistry successively reported their work respectively on such aspects an the performance of duties by the branch secretaries, the development situation of the branch’s work, the existing problems and their solutions, and the working plan of the branch in 2018. Then, all participants of the meeting conducted a democratic appraisal of the branch’s work in 2017, and finally selected the outstanding teaching party branch, the Party Branch of the Department of Chemistry and the Excellent Party Branch of the Student, and the undergraduate party branch.
Fang Meng made an request on the branch’s work while giving affirmation on the achievements made by the party branches. He said that this meeting is not only a summing-up meeting of the work of various branches in 2017, but also an exchange meeting for mutual learning. Through summary and exchange, we will find the advantages and disadvantages, and analyze the causes and then progress together. All the branch secretaries should increase awareness, earnestly perform their duties and adhere to the "three meetings and one lesson" system. They should actively plan the work of each branch in accordance with the characteristics of the students and teachers of science and engineering. What’s more, the effect should be highlighted and to improve the theoretical level and political consciousness of the teachers and students party members by real leaning. The implementing of activities can really educate the teachers and students.
In the end, everyone made full exchanges and discussions on the College Party Committee’s working focus in 2018, which laid a solid ideological foundation for the smooth progress of the work of the College Party Committee in 2018.
